Pueblos del Maíz was founded in 2022 by UNESCO/Tucson City of Gastronomy in partnership with three other UNESCO/Delice Network Creative Cities: San Antonio TX, Mérida MX, & Puebla MX. Ranch House Media was contracted to help conceptualize and launch the event, handling the entire project including budget creation, booking, marketing, graphic design, web design, ticketing, production management, community outreach, and sponsorships. In 2023, Ranch House Media brought in new festival directors and collaborators, Melissa and Mel Dominguez of Galeria Mitotera.
